How do we do this?

There are two central aspects to the role of Te Mana Âkonga:

Assisting local Mâori Student Roopû in advocating for and providing space, support and services for Mâori students on campus, and assisting in keeping Roopû critically informed of issues pertaining to Mâori in general;

Lobbying for change of and within the decision and policy-making systems of government. Te Mana Âkonga, as the only current national -focussed student body, are a key point of contact for the discussion of tertiary education policy that ultimately affects all Mâori students.
